Randy Schroeder teaches in the English Department, under the alias “Randy Schroeder.” After unsuccessful stints as a bee-keeper, rodeo clown and hand model, he settled for a less demanding career in academia. His parrot, Bica, is just learning to talk; she will dictate most of the stories from here on in.
Arruin / Randy’s work has pushed the limits of the genre of conventional fantasy writing. He identifies his writing as magic realism with a sudden sortie into “sordid sorcery.” His compacted language pokes up through the text and smacks the reader with gritty realism.
